Unity Technologies has revealed Unity 5, the latest version of company’s popular game development software, during Unity Developer Day at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco.
The fifth generation of Unity’s cross-platform game development suite will introduce real time lighting, optimised workflow and unified shader architecture, as well as a new sound effects audio mixer and WebGL deployment.
The company also detailed Unity 5 integration with the Unity Cloud cross-promotion network, which exchanges advertising between Unity titles using the service.
Unity Technologies has yet to announce a global release date for Unity 5, though the software is currently available for pre-order.
