RocketWerkz, an independent New Zealand studio, has been quietly ramping up its hiring process over the last twelve months for an upcoming unannounced AAA project, following a recent investment from Tencent. Having already released the successful HTC Vive VR title ‘Out of Ammo’ on Steam Early Access, they have begun pre-production on their AAA project while also developing a handful of smaller indie titles.
With incredible developers from Bethesda, Crytek, Creative Assembly and Bohemia Interactive, RocketWerkz looks to amass an all-star team from across the games industry to work alongside local New Zealand talent.
“ The focus of the studio is as a ‘creative factory’ and not on developing technology, are” said Dean. “ Our focus is on PC games, new genres and cooperative multiplayer experiences. We are inefficient, rebellious, and unconventional. If you want to go work on crazy projects at the bottom of the world, let us know.”
Started in 2015, this Dunedin based New Zealand independent development studio Rocketwerkz was founded by Dean Hall and currently has 26 staff members from all levels of industry experience. RocketWerkz is represent by Blake Rochkind and Ophir Lupu at United Talent Agency.
